History Weekend at Clover Hill Village - Visit with "Lee and his Lieutenants" along with "Grant and his
Generals", members of Appomattox Historical Society, Appomattox United Daughters of the Confederacy, Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Many will be in period dress to open the season at Clover Hill Village.
Living history exhibits,
including several hundred reenactors, with book signings. Vendors and sutlers will be at Clover Hill Village. Friday will
be school day, Saturday open to public with admission fee.
April 11, 2010 - 144th Annual Confederate Memorial Service -
Confederate Cemetery at Surrender Grounds - conducted by the Appomattox Chapter UDC, speaker Wayne
Ritchie, portrayer of Mathew Brady, civil war photographer, music, poetry, wreath laying and flag presentations, period dress ( Special Guest: "Lee and his Lieutenants" and "Grant and his Generals") - 2:00 pm - OPEN TO THE PUBLIC no admission fee.- If you

April 11, 2010 - 4PM Marker dedication, Robert E Lee Wayside,
Marker commemorates the last campsite of Lee and his soldiers on the night of April 12, 1865. The Elliott Grays United Daughters
of the Confedeacy chapter will host the dedication.
